Superior Court

The Superior Court handles appeals in criminal and civil cases from the Courts of Common Pleas.

Democrats Jill Beck and Timika Lane have defeated Republicans Maria Battista and Harry Smail for two open seats on Pennsylvania’s Superior Court.

Commonwealth Court

Judge Matt Wolf

Democrat Matt Wolf, a Philadelphia municipal judge, will fill an open seat on Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Court.

Commonwealth Court is the first stop for civil actions brought against state and local governments and regulatory agencies. It regularly hears high-profile cases on important political issues such as election law, redistricting, and abortion.


County Election Results

Doug Hoke

Doug Hoke, who won re-election to his fifth term in office, said he is looking forward to working with the new board and extending a hand to Burford, who will be sworn-in in January.

Hoke said he will continue to work as hard as he has done. Some of the issues he wants to work on include affordable housing, getting more money for mental health and expanding broadband to rural areas of York County.

West Shore School Board

Adam Trone won election to the WSSD Board in Region 1.

Northeastern School District

In Northeaster Jessica Bashian won her bid for the unexpired two-year position in Region 2 which includes Newberry 2 and Manchester Borough.

Kristofer Quintana and Tiffany L. Manning ran write-in campaigns in that same region and since they were unopposed it will be likely that they have won, but the results are not official yet.
