The Northern York Democratic Club was founded in 2018 to provide a space for Democrats and progressive individuals in Northern York County to convene, strategize, and promote their common goals for progress.

Through a combination of hard work and fun, the NYDC gets things done. Won’t you join us?

Committees

Events Committee: The Northern York Democratic Club is very active. We participate in community parades and fairs such as the Etters Memorial Day Parade, Dillsburg Pickle Fest, Dillsburg Farmers Fair, National Night Out in multiple communities.

Communication Committee: We have a website and a Facebook presence, as well as Instagram and X. Our popular Voters Guide is an instrument of the Communication Committee.

Political Action Committee: The PAC keeps the club informed of current issues, helps local candidates with their campaigns, sends postcards to our representatives, and suggests Calls to Action.

Resistance Taskforce: We have members who are part of the Handmaid Army York and we have an active Visibility Brigade called the NoYoVisibility Brigade.

Community Service Projects:

Martin Luther King Jr. Project our club collects cleaning products to fill 25 laundry baskets for the Bell Socialization Center in York. Bell is a shelter for unhoused families. When they are ready to move out of the Socialization Center, they receive a basket filled with cleaning products.

Martin Luther King Jr. Free Community Dinner: Along with the York County Democratic Party we help hold a free community dinner over the MLK weekend. The target community served are people who are unhoused or living in shelters.

Victory Garden: We have a large garden where we grow vegetables to donate to the New Hope Ministries Red Land Center.

Bring A Can If You Can: At each meeting we collect non-perishable food and donate it to the New Hope Ministries Center in the town where our meeting is held.

Adopt-A-Highway Program – We have registered with PennDot for a section of roadway in the Lewisberry area that we will keep clean.
